Siyabonga Zulu Foundation is founded on the philosophy of “umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu” which basically means people need each other to survive, to thrive and to excel. This organization aims to uphold African values as it empowers the marginalized communities in KwaZulu Natal depending on their needs. The core mission is to assist in the eradication of poverty, create opportunities for the youth and emphasize on the importance of education being a vehicle to economic freedom.
During the high rate of the HIV pandemic, he worked close with Dramaide which was drama in aids education where he was Educating Teenagers about HIV and aids doing schools visits doing church visits. He also worked with Zulufadder an NGO that is taking care of the orphanages and the disadvantage families giving them food parcel. He works close with the faith-based organization in employment of our youth and women through Agriculture and also talk to the local community to support each other and trade amongst each other. He also works close with the tribal leader in serving the community and problem solving in the community. He has worked with Rotary in giving out cement when there was a fire outbreak in the Community. On his birthdays celebration he always identifies the local disadvantage family and give out groceries and spend time with them.
He has been involved in substance abuse work and gender base work.
In 2010 since most of the community was not able to attend the world cup, he created a world community torment in my community, he used a local church as one study area and created reading competition, music competition, Zulu dance competition, gospel music competition and drama competition.
He has also worked with number of Government departments; –
The Department of Social development where he identified the disadvantage and the qualified family to receive the social grant depending on the situation.
The Department of Home affairs where he was administrating and identification of the disadvantage
The Department of Health where he identified and arranged a community church to be utilized as a mobile centre for dispensation IRV medication and where the old people who doesn’t have transportation money, they will collect their chronic medication and it is also a testing centre for HIV and AIDS.
The Department of South African Police where he educates the community about gender base violence and rape and also about their rights and responsibility. He has worked with many leaders and local communities, including some of the best political leaders and some of the Radio stations. He is called to serve not to be served and he serve for the Glory of God.
